Zocoo P98: The Matte Polyurea Tile Grout That Stays Beautiful for Decades
You just finished tiling. Everything looks clean, modern, understated. Then a year passes — and the grout lines start telling a different story. Yellowing, mold, stains that won't scrub out. If you chose a matte-finish tile for its quiet, refined look, the last thing you want is grout that ages badly and ruins the whole effect.
Zocoo P98 is a matte-finish polyurea tile grout built to hold its appearance over the long term — not just in the first few months after installation.

The Material Behind P98
P98 is formulated with Polyaspartic Ester Polyurea, an aliphatic polyurea resin that Zocoo also produces in-house as a raw material. The key distinction from epoxy-based products is structural: aliphatic polyurea contains no benzene rings in its molecular chain, which means UV light has no degradation pathway to act on. Yellowing is eliminated at the chemistry level, not managed with additives.
When the A and B components are mixed in a 1:1 ratio and cured, the result is a three-dimensional cross-linked molecular network. This structure delivers high surface hardness, strong flexibility so the cured grout can accommodate minor substrate movement without cracking, and an extremely dense molecular matrix that blocks water penetration at the physical level. P98's waterproofing performance is three times that of standard tile grout.
The product is solvent-free, which means minimal odor during application — a practical advantage in occupied spaces or rooms with limited airflow.

What P98 Delivers
30-year yellowing resistance, verified through long-term UV exposure testing. Antibacterial and mold-resistant performance, because moisture cannot penetrate the cured surface. A smooth, consistent matte finish that pairs naturally with contemporary large-format tiles, concrete-look surfaces, and stone-effect ceramics. Strong adhesion that holds without shrinking or pulling away from joint edges over time.
One specification that matters in colder regions: P98 can be applied at temperatures as low as -20°C. Most water-based and epoxy grouts require a minimum of 15°C to cure correctly, which limits their use in winter installations. P98 does not carry that restriction.

Color Customization
P98 supports full color customization through Zocoo's spectrophotometer-based color matching system. The system reads the exact color value of your tile and produces a grout that matches it precisely — so the joint line recedes visually rather than competing with the tile surface. Standard colors include Milk Tea Gray, Light Beige, Castle Gray, and other tones that work well with the matte aesthetic. Custom colors can often be produced same-day at local service centers with mixing equipment.

Where P98 Works Best
P98 is suitable for wall and floor ceramic tiles across a wide range of interior environments: bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, balconies, and commercial spaces including hotels, hospitals, and schools. Its combination of matte finish, UV stability, waterproofing, and antibacterial performance makes it particularly well suited to large-format tile installations where joint consistency is highly visible, and to high-moisture areas where cheaper grouts fail earliest.

Application
P98 comes in a dual-cartridge format used with a standard caulking gun. The mixing nozzle automatically combines the two components during application. Clean the tile joints thoroughly before starting, discard the first 40mm of output to ensure the mixing ratio has stabilized, then apply at a steady pace. Use a press ball tool matched to your joint width to shape the surface while the material is still workable. Once cured, remove any excess with a scraper.
Avoid applying in direct sunlight or on tiles that have been heated by the sun, as elevated surface temperatures accelerate curing and reduce your working window.

About Zocoo
